Global iLabs, a commercial innovation company based in London, creates products that positively affect consumer and corporate landscapes. To address ways to improve management of freelancers, contractors and temporary employees, the company sought to automate the process.
It developed TABS — short for Temporary Assignment Booking System — a platform that, by using smartphone technology, greatly improved the speed and efficiency of managing temporary and shift-based staff. TABS is a global, flexible platform that can be customized to any specific operation or se
ctor, from health care to telecommunications to public services.
According to Global iLabs, TABS can save 30 percent on time and 40 percent of the operational costs compared with traditional methods.
For its efforts to use smartphone technology to make its business more efficient, Global iLabs is the silver 2015 Optimas Awards winner for Innovation.
